How much time does it take?
Total course time is approximately 16–18 hours, including classroom instruction, riding exercises on a practice track, and a knowledge and skill test.
Do I need any special gear?
You'll need to bring the following:
- A helmet that meets D.O.T. standards
- Eye protection
- Full-fingered gloves
- Over-the-ankle, sturdy footwear
- Long pants
- Long-sleeved shirt or jacketr
What else do I need to register?
You must be of legal age to operate a 3-wheel motorcycle on public streets. Check with your local Department of Motor Vehicles for age requirements in your state. You do not need a motorcycle. Appropriate 3-wheel motorcycles are available for training at course locations.
How much does it cost?
Course fees are determined by jurisdiction and at the site that conducts the training.
