Starting the Ride

BRCU- New Rider Course $400 (16 hours) ~ This Program enables non-riders to experience motorcycling while learning basic skills and knowledge in a fun and involving way. Combining Maryland's Approved Curriculum that meets or exceeds the standards established by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® with the passion of Harley-Davidson®, Training Motorcycles are provided. After Registration, we will send you a link to the Motorcycle Safety Foundations website that will allow you to take an online course at no additional charge. This course must be completed before your first day of class and takes approximately 5 hours. On the practice range, you'll learn braking and turning, along with limited space maneuvers and swerving. After passing both a written and riding evaluation you'll get a Maryland Motorcycle Safety Completion Card. If you meet the licensing standards you'll also get a digital certificate for your Class "M" license. All training is done on-site.

Skills Practice-Additional Practice Session $100(4 hours) ~ This program is designed for riders who participated and completed the New Rider Course at HDF whether or not they passed the Riding Evaluation. It allows the opportunity to practice their basic skills on our Training Motorcycles with a RiderCoach. Continuing the Ride

BBBRC- Basic Bike Bonding Rider Course $125 (5 hours) This program is designed to help you develop basic riding skills. Exercises focus on a variety of cornering skills and limited-space maneuvers. By the end of the course, you should be able to handle a motorcycle well enough to negotiate normal street and traffic situations. Motorcycles are provided for your use. You must have a valid motorcycle license. BRC2U-Skilled Rider Course $125 (7 hours) This program is designed for riders who have a permit and possess basic skills. It consists of riding exercises that include –Control at low speeds, Limited-space maneuvers, cornering judgment, swerving and stopping quickly on straights and in curves, multiple curve maneuvers, and surmounting obstacles as well as group discussions on risk management. It is a perfect way for you to reinforce basic skills on your own motorcycle. You must bring a valid motorcycle permit/license endorsement, and an insured/registered/street-legal motorcycle.

MASTERING THE RIDE

UBBRC-Ultimate Bike-Bonding Rider Course $125. The 5-hr UBBRC is for experienced riders. There is no formal classroom and the riding exercises focus on limited-space maneuvers, modeled after police training courses. Through progressively challenging exercises, you develop smooth and precise control and learn more about the limits of your abilities and your bike's capability. You must bring a valid motorcycle permit/license endorsement, and an insured/registered/street-legal motorcycle. Improving the Ride

ARCU-Advanced Rider Course $125 (7 hours) A one-day course that complements your basic skills and helps with personal risk assessment. It includes a fast-paced classroom segment with several fun interactive activities to improve perception and hazard awareness. Range exercises enhance both basic operating skills and crash-avoidance skills. Improving your braking and cornering finesse is emphasized. The course is beneficial for riders on any type of street motorcycle. You must bring a valid motorcycle permit/license endorsement, and an insured/registered/street-legal motorcycle.
